Today was a BIG day for a BIG girl! Nadia got her 4 year booster shots and went to her first visit to the dentist. She did such an amazing job at both. She didn't cry at the booster shots, and I really felt appreciative of that because I brought Cali and Gigi and I had to nurse Gigi during it, so I was of no help at all to her!
Then she and I went to the dentist, and she let them do EVERYTHING: xrays, scraping, polishing, flouride and floss. She was cracking all the dental staff up as well. They put these sunglasses on her to shield her eyes from the dental lights and she looked so tiny laying in the chair I couldn't believe I didn't have my camera (well, yes I could, because I never do, but still).
Because she did some "unfun" big girl things, she got to do a "fun" big girl thing: we got pedicures after the dentist (again, where was my camera?). She has red toe nails with white flowers on them. It was fun to spend some time alone with her. She truly is upbeat, brave and FUN to be with. I am learning she is a do-er. I am not sure she appreciated the pedicure. She likes the flowers, of course, but honestly her nails were immediately messed up because she couldn't sit still! I know if I'd have taken Cali she would have sat there in my lap the entire time and enjoyed being pampered. I will have to think of something more rewarding to Nadia next time, maybe a game of laser tag or something active like that!

Glad she was such a trooper. I am dreading the booster shots... Stone is not a fan at all!
You crack me up! Are you trying to turn her into a girly girl???
I still need to do the dentist thing. We had an appointment right when we found out Wes was going to the hospitalm, so cancelled...I need to get back on the schedule...I have a feeling Avery will be less than thrilled and the picture will scare all children from wanting to go...but we'll see. I may be suprised! Oh and both of my kids start crying anytime they enter the doctor's room (because they rarely get sick...it almost always means shots!)
